tasty congee & noodle wantun shop

our last meal in hong kong before flying back to singa

this restaurant name was famous for their wanton noodles and were awarded the Best of the Best Culinary Award – Gold with Distinction Award by Hong Kong Tourism Board. But i doubt so now as it was a big "thumb down" from me. i'm not sure about their others outlet, but this one, at the airport was =.="

seafood fried rice : nothing to shout about but still not that bad

barbeque pork noodles : the barbeque pork was a real letdown but kinda like their noodles. springy kind

century egg and pork porridge : this was quite good but niece said her mom can cook better than this =) lol

roasted pork : it was quite good but the gravy spoilt the overall taste. it was too salty for our tastebud

overall, there are hit and misses. guess the rice cake roll and the barbeque pork are up to the mark

since it was the only way to get upclose with mickey & friends, so decided to have their buffet breakfast. the price was about sgd$50 per pax. spread was not that bad. we get to meet mickey mouse, daisy, pluto and goofy. each characters will go to each table to take pics., so everything was quite organized.

this baked pork chop with tomato rice was a winner ...really heart this

the pork chop was tender and surprisingly the tomato gravy was so good

this pizza was  a big letdown

scallop salad in balsamic vinegar

if you couldn't make out your mind on what to order, this entree is just right

angela tasting platter : japanese scrambled eggs with truffle, seared salmon fillet tartare and spaghetti with tomato sauce

duck confit risotto

pricing was reasonable, nice ambience and most important, the food is not bad judging from the price
